JBL Boombox 4: massive power, iconic bass, and a lighter build
Boombox is back with a bang, now featuring 50% more power and Bass Boost
London, September 3rd, 2025 – JBL is turning up the volume once again with the launch of
JBL Boombox 4. Built to shake rooms, fuel gatherings, and unite people through powerful sound, this is not just a speaker, it’s JBL in its purest form: foot-thumping bass powered by cutting-edge tech.
More Power Less Distortion
Boombox 4 features JBL’s AI SoundBoost, an intelligent audio enhancement that enables the drivers push harder and hit louder, while staying crystal clear. The result? That legendary
JBL ProSound: refined, clean highs, booming lows, and room-filling energy at every volume.
Louder and Lighter
With more portable power than ever before, Boombox 4 is almost 1kg lighter than its predecessor, making it easier to carry, pack, and take anywhere the party goes. But don’t let the lighter build fool you, this speaker delivers 50% more power output when used on battery. Less weight. More punch.
Now you can both hear and see the bass: the JBL logos glow white or orange when Bass Boost is on. Choose between Deep Bass or Punchy Bass modes and let the speaker handle the rest.
This take-it-anywhere speaker is built to bring people together. The robust new design has a sturdier foot and is IP68 water and dustproof, in accordance with product instructions, meaning it’s ready for the pool, the park, the beach, or wherever your crew gathers. Plus, with AuracastTM built in, you can instantly link it with other compatible JBL speakers for even bigger sound.
“The market is moving towards more bass-heavy portable speakers – and JBL wrote the master class on bass,” said Carsten Olesen, President of Consumer Audio at HARMAN. “Striking a balance between powerful bass and high-quality audio is a difficult art to master, but with the introduction of proprietary technologies like Bass Boost and AI Sound Boost, JBL Boombox 4 does exactly that. It’s everything fans love about JBL.”
Launching in bold Black, Blue, or rugged Camouflage, this is a speaker that matches your energy and your style.
Available from September 2025 on JBL.com for £449.99/€499.99.
